Sid Caesar announces the release of
"The Sid Caesar Collection -
The Fan Favorites"

The Pioneer of Television Uses the Power of the Internet
to Deliver His Fans Their Favorites!

Beverly Hills, CA (- Creative Light Entertainment is proud to announce the release of The Sid Caesar Collection - The Fan Favorites, the follow-up series to the highly successful The Sid Caesar Collection, available September 4, 2001 on VHS and DVD. The Fan Favorites is unique in that it delivers for the first time in over fifty years exclusive Your Show of Shows and Caesar's Hour comedy sketches, chosen by direct feedback from Sid Caesar fans via the Internet on Caesar's official fan site www.SidCaesar.com.

Also at the request of the fans, each DVD includes an unprecedented extra - an exclusive audio commentary by Sid Caesar himself. "In the first set we included some of the most well known sketches. But for the second set, we reached out to the fans and asked them what THEY wanted to see. With their help, we put together a fantastic collection of classic comedy. I couldn't agree more with their selections! It has been a very fulfilling process," said Sid Caesar.

Featured in this set is the return of some of Caesar's most beloved situation comedy characters, such as "The Hickenloopers," "The Commuters" and Sid as the know-it-all "German Professor." The collection extensively highlights the late Imogene Coca, showing some of her best and most loved work in "Auto Smash Up," "The Newspaper Movie," and her most famous partnership with Caesar, "The Pantomime to the 1812 Overture."

"My body of work and my children are the legacy for which I'll be remembered. It makes me very proud to be able to share the sketches, laughter and experiences from these shows with a new generation because of their restoration on this video series," remarks Sid Caesar.

The release of The Fan Favorites is part of Creative Light Entertainment's ongoing commitment to digitally restoring the original kinescopes of this groundbreaking television comedy featured on Your Show of Shows and Caesar's Hour, and reintroducing them to today's audience. As a follow-up to the highly successful The Sid Caesar Collection released last year to mark the 50th Anniversary of Your Show of Shows, The Fan Favorites pick up right where the original collection left off.

As well as the classic comedy sketches that haven't been available in more than 50 years, the set includes brand new interviews with the writers and stars of the shows, including Sid Caesar, Woody Allen, Mel Brooks, Nanette Fabray, Carl Reiner, Larry Gelbart, Howard Morris, Danny Simon, Carl Simon and Mel Tolkin. "Along with the contributions of his 'dream team' of writers, Sid Caesar's everyday humor set the standard during television's pioneering age and subsequently carries great historical importance. However what is truly amazing, is that the style of comedy transcends time and is still as fresh, funny and family friendly today as it was fifty years ago," states Creative Light's President of Production Peter Jaysen.

The trio of 75-minute compilations are thematically arranged with the titles "Love and Laughter," "The Professor & Other Clowns" and "The Dream Team of Comedy." Each tape in the collection will be available for purchase on Tuesday, September 4th at video retailers nationwide for $14.95 on VHS and $19.95 on DVD (S.R.P). The complete collection can also be purchased as a set for $39.90 on VHS and $49.90 on DVD at retail outlets or by calling 1/888-292-9400 or by logging on to Sid Caesar's Official fan site, www.SidCaesar.com. This set has been closed captioned for the hearing impaired.
